The location felt like a hidden gem, with everything within a comfortable walking distance. The cozy atmosphere of the room had a traditional vibe, complete with a mattress on the floor. I appreciated the tea and coffee facilities available. However, checkout time was quite early at 10 am, which might not suit everyone. The small room lacked a view, and the bedding was the least comfortable I experienced during my time in Japan. Despite the bedding concerns, the Ryokan was clean and quiet. Plus, the host was helpful and even offered assistance with wifi issues after checkout. Would I return? Maybe, but with a bit of caution on the room choice.

It was just a nice choice for a stopover in Kyoto with a reasonable price. The staff was super helpful with directions, making it easier to explore the area. Make sure to try the tea offered in the lobby after a long day out.

helpful maps for local attractions, simple check-in process, effective air conditioning
No onsen on site!!! A little dated!!! Not walkable from Kyoto station despite claims!!! Smaller rooms cramped for larger guests!!! Softer mattress might cater to different preferences!!!

The location proved ideal for getting a taste of local life while being close to major attractions! My host provided invaluable assistance with maps and offered wifi after checkout!
The room was somewhat small and felt cramped at times. i imagine larger travelers might find it less comfortable.

The location provided a tranquil atmosphere, just a few subway stops from the main attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and ensured a smooth check-in process. However, the room felt a bit cramped at times, particularly for larger guests, and the bedding wasn't the most comfortable. While there’s no on-site dining, the fresh unlimited pancakes offered a delightful breakfast experience to start the day.

My family loved our two-night stay in a double room. The staff's kindness made navigating the city easier, despite some challenges like bike rentals. Don't miss the cozy tea offerings in the lobby, a perfect touch after a day of exploring.
